Why is this person acting so nice and would you feel uncomfortable if you were me?

Not at all! It sounds like he thinks you're interesting and maybe he likes you. Maybe he just wants to get to know you better. :) The things he did don't sound that threatening at all. I think that it's totally fine. I'd try to learn as much about him as I could before officially deciding that he's safe, though.
