Trying to self-teach myself japanese, what are some good memory tricks?

I already know the vowels, a i u e o, is ki ku ke ko etc. and I know how to write them in Hiragana. Question is, whats the easiest way to remember the rest? Like se so In Hirayama? Because this is kind of hard. I've never taken cles and im teaching myself.
