Why do so many people believe the lies put out by the News outlets that most guns in Mexico come from the US?

This was propaganda started by the anti-gun crowd. The Democrats and the Left wing media (MSNBC ABC CNN etc) repeated it. Most Americans know this was a false statement. But there will always be those naive folks like the first guy to respond.
