If you like hard rock that is harmonious, melodic, and kind of gloomy, then you absolutely NEED to get into symphonic/power metal or progressive metal. Kamelot, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Symphony X, Dream Theater, and Evergrey are some of my favorites.
