I applied to a college early action and was deferred, but the letter came days early. Is that a bad sign?

It was a very selective school, but my grades and test scores are all in the upper quartile of their accepted students' stats. Does it mean anything that they rejected me early presumably before they made all of their early action decisions? (I got the letter today, but it was supposed to come on Monday)
