Catholics- Why is purgatory not mentioned in catholic funerals?

According to Catholicism, purgatory is highly likely upon death, but when there is an actual death the priests tell everyone they're in heaven with the Father. What the...? By the way I'm not Catholic, but I find this interesting. Have you ever heard a priest say that "so and so is now burning in the flames, awaiting heaven." at their funeral? Never, right?
